Barichara to Guane
What is better than beginning the day with a walk of approximately 7km (4.3 miles) along an old commercial route used by the indigenous people to bring agricultural products to the Magdalena River? Is paved road was rebuilt during the colony by a German engineer and continued to be an important network for the trade of tobacco, cotton, corn and quinoa, connecting around 5 different municipalities.
The tour offers incredible views of the local landscape:the imposing canyon of the Suárez River and part of the Serranía de los Yariguies National Park. For nature lovers, you can find different native species of birds and flora.
You will return to Barichara in the afternoon in a tuc-tuc, small colorful vehicles that are the typical and common means of transport around the area.
